Current policies are documented and posted here. These policies are renewed annually and updated accordingly. -
Troop Leadership Rotation
Troop leaders (SPL, PL(s)) are elected every 6 months in November and May (new in 2010). The SPL picks an ASPL and afterwards, the remaining Scouts volunteer for troop leadership positions. Three key troop leadership positions must be filled: Scribe/Historian/Webmaster; Librarian; Quartermaster.
Troop Events/Activities
Our calendar reflects the types of activities we do, some of which are repeated year after year. Typically, we do one major outdoor activity (camping, kayaking, etc) each month and several community service projects each year. Some of the Thursday night meetings are replaced with trips to Golfland, Skyhigh, or that climbing wall place.
Venture Crew
As Scouts achieve higher ranks like Eagle and want to pursue more challenging activities, the Troop has a corresponding Venture Crew (14 and above) to challenge them. This fills a need for older scouts as well as helping keep them in the Scouting program.
Membership:
Troop membership has generally come from the corresponding Pack 116. Webelos from other Packs are absolutely welcome to visit and join.
