Summer Camp

Summer Camps 2013

Troop 116 will be going to Summer Camp at High Sierra again in 2013 at the Havasu campsite. The summer camps have strict cancellation policies because they are hiring staff based on reservations. Camps must be booked and paid for well in advance, so all scouts must signup and make the initial payment early so we can meet camp deadlines. Scouts may be able to use monies earned in fundraisers (if any) to cover camp fees.

Camp High Sierra is open to all scouts. http://www.scccbsa.org/html/about/chs.html. The CHS refund policy is extremely limited - please review the refund information in the Leader's Guide attached below. The 2012 Leader's Guide will be replaced by the 2013 Leader's Guide when it becomes available.

Physicals:

The BSA requires an annual Medical Form be completed for each scout (Part A, B and C). Part C requires a doctor's physical and signature. All summer camps require the troop to bring a copy of each participant’s physical, including adults.

Sign Ups:

Signups will begin January 2013. The deadline to sign up for the summer camps is May 2011 when the final payment is due.
